CCTV installation in Kent.
A well planned CCTV system lets you check on your home or business from your phone, with clear footage when you need it.
Cameras where they’re actually useful.
The best CCTV systems start with a walk round the property. I look at entrances, driveways, side gates and blind spots, then suggest camera positions that give clear, usable footage without filling your phone with alerts every time a car goes past. For homes that might be two or three cameras and a video doorbell. For shops, offices and other businesses, it’s often more about covering tills, stock areas, entrances and car parks.
Once the system is in, you can view live and recorded footage on your phone, wherever you are. Cables are run neatly and hidden where possible, and the recorder is placed somewhere sensible and secure. If you already have an older analogue system with grainy footage, it’s often possible to upgrade the cameras and recorder while reusing some of the existing cable runs, which keeps the cost and disruption down.
A quick privacy tip: point cameras at your own property rather than a neighbour’s garden or windows. If a camera does capture areas beyond your boundary, such as the street, it’s worth reading the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) guidance on domestic CCTV. I’ll talk through camera angles with you and adjust them so they cover what you need.
